La Cuisine

The Kitchen

Set for feasts large and small, and for the quiet morning coffee alone.

  • A Lacanche range

    A French country kitchen by deVOL, built around a Lacanche range with six burners and twin ovens — ready for a morning omelette or a Sunday gigot.

  • The cook's batterie

    Copper pans and cast iron from E. Dehillerin, sharpened knives, and a marble slab for pastry. The drawers want for nothing.

  • Cold storage & cleaning

    A full-height Liebherr refrigerator and freezer, a Miele dishwasher, and a separate drinks refrigerator for long, warm afternoons.

  • Coffee, morning to night

    A Nespresso Creatista Pro, a cafetière (French press), and a kettle for a tisane before bed.

  • The boot room

    Washer, dryer, and a deep sink occupy the cave, where livestock once sheltered and the stone has been meticulously restored. It is the quiet engine room of a long stay.

  • A welcome larder

    Milk, eggs, coffee, and a basket of Provençal provisions await your arrival, so the first evening asks nothing of you.

Four bedrooms, eight guests at ease — each room its own small world.

  • Four bedrooms

    Each dressed in its own toile and canopy; together they sleep eight in pressed linen.

  • Air, cooled

    Air conditioning in every bedroom for the height of the Provençal summer.

  • Dressed beds

    Fine cotton linen, a choice of feather or firm pillows, and blankets folded at the foot.

  • Robes & towels

    Fresh waffle robes and stacks of towels, replenished throughout your stay.

The Baths

Papered, tiled, and unhurried — bathing the way it was always meant to be.

  • Three full baths

    Each with a generous walk-in shower: one beside Chambre One with a tub as well, an en suite bathroom for Chambre Two, and a third off the den — with a double sink and towel warmer — shared by Chambre Three and Chambre Four.

  • A powder room

    On the main floor, for guests and for gatherings.

  • Heated floors & warmed towels

    Underfloor heating in two of the baths and the powder room, and a towel warmer in the third.

  • Provençal toiletries

    Local soaps and oils, essential toiletries, and a hair dryer, curling iron, and steamer in every bath.

The Stay

How we rent our home

  • The whole house, by the week

    The entire property is taken as one, Friday to Friday. We do not offer nightly or individual-room stays.

  • Up to eight at ease

    Four bedrooms comfortably sleep up to eight adults.

  • Staffed throughout the week

    Daily housekeeping, bread each morning, and a concierge at hand.

  • No pets, with regret

    The house does not accommodate animals.
